Her dedication to craftsmanship and artistry is what makes our vases truly special. Anya's journey began in her grandmother's garden, playing with clay from the earth, a humble beginning that sparked a lifelong devotion to ceramics. She honed her skills through years of dedicated practice and study, eventually establishing her own studio in Sydney. Anya finds inspiration in the Australian landscape, from the rugged Blue Mountains to the serene beaches of Bondi, infusing her work with the colours and textures of her homeland. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Anya is passionate about sharing her knowledge and fostering creativity in others, regularly conducting workshops and mentoring emerging potters. Her vision for Anya's Artistic Vases is to not only create beautiful objects but also to build a community around the appreciation of handmade artistry.
Studio Assistant & Pottery Instructor
Ben is Anya's right hand in the studio, assisting with production and leading pottery classes. His enthusiasm for pottery and teaching makes him a valuable part of the team. Originally from a small town in New South Wales, Ben discovered his love for pottery during a community arts program. His keen eye for detail and patient nature make him an exceptional instructor, guiding students of all levels with encouragement and expertise. Ben is particularly passionate about experimenting with new glazing techniques and sustainable pottery practices, contributing fresh ideas and energy to the studio. Outside of the studio, Ben is an avid hiker and nature photographer, often drawing inspiration from the natural world to inform his pottery. He believes in the therapeutic power of working with clay and strives to create a welcoming and inspiring learning environment in his classes.
